Just thought I would try out a poll and see how many others are as hot and sweltering as I is.....LOL Harrybaby666 (Whew! Even typing makes me sweat..LOL) :D :D :D

out west...

out west...

While the eastern coast is having record breaking heat, the west is having record-breaking cool. Two of my sons came from New York and Florida this week to enjoy a fishing trip with their brothers here in Utah. The 3-day event never happened because of COLD -- even some snow in the mountains... :)

Here in SE Michigan it has been awful.
Norms should be in the upper 70's at this time of year, but it has been 90 and above for days around here.
We have had more days in the 90's already than the total for all of last year.
To top that off there has been absolutely no rain. In spite of constant watering our grass is burning out.
Between the water bill and electric for the AC, I think we will go broke by the end of summer.

As unhappy about the sweltering heat as I am about the gray skies. I was in the pool today but it's just not as pleasant as when the sun is shining.

Also, the minute you get out of the pool, you are like a steamed lobster.

I gave in the second day of this current heat wave and had our A/C put in the window. I no longer care how hot it is outside since I can dive into the icebox livingroom and kitchen now. Now all I have to do is pray Ohio Edison/First Energy doesn't do something stupid to loose the power grid or a storm to gunk up the works. ;)

I had to as well Ross....

I had too as my breathing is really bad right now from the heat/humidity, plus I had my cat, Bandit to think about. I hope we don't run into energy problems here either, as we have come close, but never had a problem yet...thank goodness. Harrybaby666

I ended up taking 2 showers today and about 20 minutes after both of them, I was feeling like a boiled lobster....and feeling sweaty, tacky and just downright nasty.....Doesn't take much, does it?
   :(

Add to the heat and humidity a full firefighter suit complete with breathing gear (mask and tank) and you REALLY know hot    .

We recently had some firefighter drills (fortunately I'm still on limited duty) and the instructor made each one of them dress out in full gear to complete the exercise. Some had water running out of their boots when they got the gear off  .

May God Bless,

Danny

You forgot one ingredient-FIRE!

Brrrrrrrs!

Brrrrrrrs!

We actually lit the pellet stove last night! Its only been getting up to 71, 72 degrees here. My poor Sara jumps in the pool at 7:00 AM and it's only in the low 40s!!

I tell her its a blessing in disguise...... lol it'll feel warm jumping in the pool! (it's an outdoors pool and not much warmer!) :p

Well in Sunny Alberta.....(Not) we are contending with flash floods and record rain fall. I would love to have a heat wave at this moment. Beats being cold and soggy. On the bright side.....Calgary is sooooo green. One would think we were in Vancouver.

Sloshing in my shoes.
Char.

Last night was wonderful. It was in the 70's and low humidity. The kids and I just sat outside and fuly enjoyed it. God done good last night!

Very pleasant here for the past ten days....dropped to a high of 56 today and should be back to 65-70 by the weekend.

We just wear more clothes than y'all.

Cheers,
