Hood to Coast 195 mile race is today and tomorrow

I am not a runner. For those of you who are, however, this is the big Oregon event.

Just thought I'd share the website for those who are keen on these kinds of events. Come on out and see us and plan to stay awhile. August and September are our best kept secret here -- perfect weather!!

These are interesting events and Hood to Coast is one of the oldest and most popular. It is hard to even get entered because it fills up very quickly. I have done a similar one in June in Northern Utah and am scheduled for another the second weekend in October in and around Las Vegas. They are a lot of fun and a great break from your normal running events.

I was out there in 2007 visiting our son during race weekend....lots of crazy runners....I would love to get on a team, but as Kodi stated it is one of the best and oldest, and very hard to get into....

Tom, Check this site out. It is the company that puts on the ones I've done. They have several nationwide. One in NY, Conn/Mass, DC. Would be a fun thing for CA runners.

Thanks for posting this. I used to live in Oregeon (Gresham) but it was before I was a runner. Now my wife and I both run and get back to Oregon every couple of years. Next summer we are going back to England for a week but now Im thinking I gotta look into this race and see if we can get involved. I would LOVE to participate in this.
