Home Again Sheeesh

Hi Everyone
We're home again. Had a second trip to the hospital on Wed.. Seems as though I had a case of Pleural Effusion that set me back a couple of days. Am home again and feeling Much better. I ended up going to my local hospital (Podunk General)for initial intervention. You know like to let me breathe again. Good thing they transfered me back to the Hospital where I had my surgery before they killed me. Luckily just some Lasix and 3 or 4 thousand ml's. later and we're feeling a whole lot better. Hope everyone is doing well Tina, Mary, Gageyk keep walking resting and WATCH YOUR WEIGHT day to day. Best wishes too all.

That "again" stuff sucks. I went into our local version of Podunk General just 3 or 4 days after getting home and they tried to kill me. Long story.

At 6 weeks, I think I still have a bit of that effusion or something, as I can feel something down there when I take really deep breaths. Fortunately, I am able to walk, and even jog a bit, 45 minutes to an hour each day, so I think it will clear up. In any event, I have a cardiologist appointment next week, so we'll see. I definitely don't want to have another homecoming!

Keep stroking, dude, and it will be fine.

I guess it isnt unusual for a couple of hospitalizations after a major surgery to get "tuned up". Mine was for atrial fib on two occasions. Like 67 says, it sucks to have to go back in but it sounds like your doin ok now so hang in there.

RICH! oh my...I'm so glad you're home and doing better. So what is that? Water weight? I gained 14 lbs while in the hospital, very puffy....It's all off now and then some...But how scary for you. All better now?
You're correct about watching the weight everyday. I was told to and if more than 4 lbs either way in a day I was to call.
