Whats a person to eat????????

Whats a person to eat????????

I ran thru all the topics and read most of these post , and I must say it's scary, does anyone out there not you guys the ones that are suppose to help us know what the heck they are doing.
The first time I went in the hosipatl and came out in 96 and about 2 yrs later I saw my blood report.here I'am pushing a tryclyceride
level of over get this now 700 this is the God's truth nothing done about it,about 3 yrs later I go back into the hospital for another stay ,get my level it's hitten about 500 so one day in my GP office I asked him about theses levels well you guesses he put me on lowering agents starts off with lipitor ,and thats no good at all
so they change and put me on zocor this is suppose to be real good for lowering your levels and preventing heart attacks, the whole butt of the thing is that anyone who is taking beta-blockers stands a higher risk of high levels due to this medication. So guys whoever is on beta-blockers make sure you ask your doc about your levels ,they started checking mine like ever 3 months now,and have me fast also to check sugar levels.

Pills!

Pills!

Jade,

I'm with you ...trying to lower levels thru diet and exercise as I just don't know if I want to take a pill for it. All meds have side effects for some people! I try to take only what I absolutely have to! Coumadin is scary enough!!!

I'm waiting to see if my Cardio will want me to take another pill..I hope not! It's torture enough to eat the things that are 'good' for me!!! I seem to like more 'tasty' 'bad' foods!!!!

I'm not an excercize nut either...but I have managed to walk 20-30 minutes a day lately. I had gotten away from that routine. I have a 'glider' and use it while watching TV..it is not noisy like a treadmill and does not have to be plugged in. I never put it away..so it's "in my face"..but I started using it as a place to hang clothes for a while..LOL! No more..back at it and hoping this and the (CHF= Crappy Hospital Food..lol) diet will get my levels down. Mine are not near as high as you've had, tho. Time will tell!

The zipper/ladybug/cholesterol queen/LOL/
