Hernia after surgery

I am a 1.5 years out from aortic valve replacement and aneurysm repair. A few months after my surgery I developed a ****let or a hernia near the bottom of my incision. My hubby and I call it a ****let because of its location. Has anyone else developed a hernia, the surgeon who I consulted with said it is common for people with aortic aneurysm disease to develop them and I could very well get another one. At this point I have not had surgery on it and we are just keeping an eye on it.
