Nancy, I was just comin in to report when I found your inquiry.

Here's today's news:

I went back to local primary today and he says my lungs are now clear -- but that I have been expecting to get well quicker than I am going to and it will take awhile to get back to where I once was, since I had a double dose and the surgery alone was a tough one - and now I am an old person and old people heal slow. He says that it will come slowly. But surely. And that's good news - wish I had patience!

This has been really tough - I remember very little of being in the hospital. Don't know if it was the drugs or not, but the end result is I never, ever want to see the inside of a hospital again, not even to visit. This was nothing like heart surgery - which, in looking back, was great by comparison. And I remember EVERYTHING about being in that hospital. The wonderful care, the walking in the halls, the exercises, the kidding with the staff - all that good stuff.

I am going to try to recall the exercises that they gave us after heart surgery but don't remember them all - they were simple and easy. If any of you can remind me of what they all were, I would surely appreciate it. Gotta get this old body movin again.

Love and thanks........Ann

Hi Hens

Good to see your post, too. Been thinking of you, but have been so busy getting ready for the dog show this weekend, finishing school, cleaning house, etc., that I haven't been on very much.

Glad to hear your lungs are clear!!!

Stay well. We're leaving tomorrow morning and will be home Sunday......will chat then

I'm glad to see your post, Ann. Even though recovery seems slow, there is progress, and slow and steady wins the race anyway.

So, as they say,"Where's the fire?", just sit a bit and feel your body healing little by little. It's summer in the South, right? Easy living.

Never give in and never give up. You'll get there.

The best news is that there was nothing alarming to report.

Take care, dear friend.

hi ann!
i, too, think of you often. i'm so glad nancy brought this up...
glad to hear your lungs are clear. just try and take your recovery slowly, one day/step at a time.
try not to rush too much or you might hurt yourself.
i'm so glad you're ok though.
be well, sylvia

Great News

Great News

That is great news about your Dr.'s visit!

Since you had such a rough time in the hospital maybe it is a blessing in disguise that you don't remember.

I understand the no patience ( I have none :D :D I want things done/healed now!) )but as Nancy said slow and steady wins the race, so try to take a day or hour at a time.

You are such a kind and caring person! I hope and pray your recovery starts getting easier soon.

Take care
