Help on error code

Does anyone know what a 411 error on the INRatio machine means? I tested twice this morning...my last two testing strips...and both times my machine came up with an error message of 411. I have a lot of bruising going on and a nose bleed that has lasted off and on most of the day. I may have to go get a blood draw since I'm out of testing strips. Just wondered what the error was all about. Thanks. LINDA

My understanding is it is just a general error message indicating either a problem with the test strip or not enough blood used.

I would call Hemosense. They can help you through it and/or send replacement strips if they deem them to be faulty. Hemosense customer service is very helpful.

Maybe this will help..... Sometime back I got an error message & it turns out the battery needed to be replaced. As soon as I replaced the battery, the error did not appear again. Unfortunately, I had to use another test strip because I had already contaminated the first strip. Hopefully this works for you.

The Hemosense staff is wonderful to talk you through an error code. I did put new batteries in and still got the error. It was from not enough blood. I know they say a drop of blood is all that is needed but I don't place it on the strip until I have a good sized dollup. Are you taking aspirin daily with the coumadin. I tried after my stents but kept getting bruised and nose bleeds with theraputic INR's so I had to stop the aspirin.

Your error code is listed on the bottom of the first page and references a problem with a channel.
