Dear Leighanne

You are absolutely on my prayer list.....effective immediately. I have no doubt that you will be fine, and whle it seems as though your plate is sooooo full right now, I know you'll get through this a much stronger and healthier person than you are now. You don't have to look for God, as you said, he is right next to you, as are we all. Just talk with him and tell him it's in his charge.....he WILL do the rest. I think one of the hardest things is to let go of that "control" that we think we have but really don't. I know you'll have many people praying for you....we'll all be there for you in spirit and thought.

Wishing you all the best for tomorrow Leighanne!

Sending positive thoughts and cyber-hugs your way....

Leighanne,
I'll be praying for you and your family. I know everything is going to go just fine. We look forward to hearing the good news about your picture-perfect surgery.

Leighanne,
Not long now before this is all behind you. We'll all be thinking of you and waiting to hear that you came through the surgery with flying colors. Best of luck!
Sue

Leighanne - best of luck tomorrow. All my prayers and good thoughts will be with you. I've often thought that the operating rooms must be quite crowded what with all of us in there helping "our" folks up that mountain.

The great calm comes when you realize there's no turning back. Those of us who experienced it felt very fortunate.

You're in good Hands; hope that mountain's a molehill and the truck misses you entirely. Please have someone post for you when your surgery is complete.

Leighanne, I have to chime in with everyone else. You and your family will be in my prayers. The truth is that none of us ever gets through this world unmarked. All of us have troubles, all of us sustain losses we never completely get over. It's all part of living in a fallen world. Things happen. Things hurts us. Things we love are taken from us. And through all this God is always with us. His arms are around us. I believe that when we are to weak to pray and don't know what to say, the Holy Spirit will intercede for us. Right now going through this difficult time, you need prayer more than you need answers and remember you've got a lot of people here on this site praying for you everyday. We love you and you will come through this.

Leighanne,

My thoughts and prayers will also be with you tomorrow. You will make it through this and once to the other side, you will realize that the anticipation is the worst! Don't get me wrong, the first week is a little rough, but just knowing that it's behind you helps a lot! It was never as bad as I had imagined it would be! Stay strong and we'll see you on the other side!

<< does the calm just come and go. One minute a total stranger is telling me that the site of me and my son playing outside is so beautiful as tears well in her eyes (dont know her) and I feel this peace, then the next, I feel like I am never going to have anything normal or happy in my life again. How do you get to the peace and stay there. I look for God everywhere, look for signs and feel like as many signs point to a place and life on earth as happiness and the rest tell me that I am a 21st century Job and that my book will be in the bible in 2000 years. Cant seem to get to the right place yet my my mind or my heart one wants to. Am I getting to cooky?
Leighanne >>

Nope, sounds perfectly normal to me.

Leighanne, I'll be thinking of you and Ethan. Somehow I think you will do OK. Even Job did, in the end, iirc.

OH surgery is a physical, emotional, and difficult experience. Your life will never be 100% the same, but you WILL have a quality life that will allow you to live like other people. There will be times when you will ask "why me", and there will be many times when you will answer "why not me".

Life gives you sugar and lemons, you need to make the lemonaide yourself.

God Bless you, your family, and the medical personnel during the next few days!

John & Joann
