How about some fun? If you were to construct a heart patient soundtrack (or play list, for the non-oldies), what would be on it?

I'll start with two of my faves from surgery time:

1) Heart of Glass - Blondie

2) Leona Lewis, unsure of the name, but the line 'you cut me open and I keep bleeding'

I like Goldfrapp, Alive, and Metric, Help, I'm Alive, which reflect my thoughts after surgery. I think the Leona Lewis song is "Keep Bleeding." Avril Lavigne, Anything but Ordinary, " Somebody rip my heart out And leave me here to bleed."

I’m don’t remember listening to much of anything pre-surgery (too freaked out) – but afterwards I listened to a lot of Heart – the band

The song Allies by Heart is especially great for me because it reminds me of all of you and our heart family

Especially this part:

I listened to a lot of music yesterday canning grape juice. A couple more:
The Bird and the Bee, Love Letter to Japan, contains the line: "Here is my heart, my beating heart."
Lenka, The Show, contains the line: " Slow it down, make it stop Or else my heart is going to pop."

I would say anything by Dan Mangan... but then I would recommend that to non- heart patients as well.

Also, Man in the Mirror by MJ. I love that song.
