It's not a fixable thing for me or my ISP. It's AT+T's routers that are boogered up and messing up the routing scene. Anyone have broadband that is slower then dial up? :(

My AOL is all messed up. I lost all of my Favorites (bookmarks), including the ones that AOL includes with their program, THAT was a disaster for me. There was a lot of searching to find some of them. It's apparently not retrievable.

Plus had sign on password confusion, when I had actually entered the right password. This all happened yesterday. I did two defrags and scans, but that was no help. Deleted all the deletable files, and that was no help either. I think there is something going on with the Internet and ISPs.

Maybe your ISP is deliberately trying to avoid some pathways. That's certainly a lot of hopping around.

I shouldn't admit it (the router gods might hear) but I have broadband that has sometimes been slow like a bad dial-up connection. I'm with SBC, and about a year or so ago they did a lot of network upgrades that seem to have handled it.

Now if they could do something about the 100 year-old copper wires in this part of the city. . .

Yes, 100% packet loss would tend to diminish your throughput. I'd send you snap of a trace from my house in Seattle, so I could brag on my ISP a bit, but I'm in Florida for training. 16 hops and 51 ms from here.

If anyone cares.

Johnny who do you have for your home ISP. I wish we had OOL!

Nancy anything under 20 hops is acceptable for me. Seldom do I see anything over that unless I'm trying to browse something overseas.

Steve don't knock those old copper wires. A lot of love has passed through them and in lots of ways, I think they're better then the garbage wires of today. I know, your thinking more like fiber optics right?

I had several emails refused by AOL this morning - seems they are not letting my ISP into their stuff. Don't know what's going on. I told on them - to Ross. :D
