:(Had my CT on friday, cardiologist called on monday said coronary arteries all clear, no bypass needed. Then she said that it showed some thickening of the aortic valve and ordered a sed rate and c-reactive protien test to look for indication of inflammation. She said when she gets those results she may need a TEE. Havn't had one in a year and a half. I'm aliitle confused. No mention of the vegitation and why those blood tests and possibly another TEE. Been trying to work, finish dental appts, continue pre-op tests and keep playing phone tag with her and GP. Does any of this sound alarming? or routine? At times I wish everyone (cardiologist,GP,surgeon, dentist) would give me a moment of peace. And as if this isn't stressful enough I had to put my dog to sleep today. (old age). Sorry t ramble just feeling overwhelmed right now.

Thanks Greg, on a lighter note my husband said if he could have the surgery for me he would. I think I'll call the surgeon tomorrow with the new plan. lol

Heh michelle, Good to be thinking of a Plan B, re subbing the hubby (smile)

Sorry to hear about your dog, always a ad a tough thing to lose a family member.

Tomorrow is another day and it is good news that arteries are clear and that the professionals are working out a gameplan for your August 11th, try not to be overwhelmed with the details of what needs doing (that's their job) and hopefully, they can get it all done as required in a one time fix.

Come about August 13-14, you will regain some control and it id good to envision yourself in recovery and feeling better every day come late August.

All the best with the process.

Gil

Oh, Judy, so sorry to hear about your dog. Good grief, overwhelmed sounds like an understatement. You do need a moment of peace. I hope you can relax some this evening.

So sorry to hear about your doggie. Even if they have lived a good long time it doesn't make it any easier when you have to deal with losing them. Sounds like your stress level is pretty much maxed. I hope things will settle down for you and you can take some time to just be....
take care hugs

Judy, thinking of you and sending you massive support vibes, both with the trauma of your doggie's demise and the upcoming AVR. We had to put our own 18 year old doggie down recently due to total organ failure (old age) and I had my AVR last year, so I can whole heartedly emphasise with you.
On the other hand I can also promise you that the silver lining, so difficult to see right now, is definitely out there and soon after 11th August it will appear and everyday will be brighter and better. Hang in there!

Hello Judy,
I think LuckyGuy is right. The tests will give more information. Clear arteries is a good thing.
I'm sorry about your dog. Our dog passed away about 2 weeks before my surgery as well. He was in failing health and all I thought was what happens if my wife has to take an action with our pet while I'm in the hospital. Just let the tests play out. Believe it or not, but you will be calm the days before your surgery. In my case, I actually changed surgeons within the same practice 2 days before the surgery. It will be ok. Keep us updated.

Hey Dudette!
From one Cali girl to another. Hang in there. Things will be cool. Just try to chill and let the doc's talk and come up with a good plan to make you feel 1000% better. Sad to learn about your doggie. I've been there and it leaves a little hole in the heart that I personally feel can be healed by a new puppy face when you feel the strength. I will keep sending good vibes to you for a smooth surgery and bump free recovery. Excellent.........

I wish there are words to make you feel better about your dog , losing a pet leaves such a hole in your heart. At least we've had their love in our lives and that's what really counts. It will get better once the surgery is done and you start feeling like yourself again I hope you consider getting another dog.
Don't stress too much about the doctors you need to take it easy . One day at a time .
