Thanks, Ann, and HAPPY EASTER TO EVERYONE, TOO!!! We just got back last night from our dog show/property hunting trip to Virginia. Had lots of fun, replaced our truck's transmission, lost at the dog show, and didn't find any property, oh well!!! It was my fault, not Logan's in obedience.

Wishing you ALL a great Easter.....and if you're Greek, Happy Easter NEXT week.

About those eggs we lost . . .

About those eggs we lost . . .

I was waiting til tomorrow to send wishes; then got to giggling about the tales of the lost easter eggs from childhood (my story happens to be my childhood; the folks I was chatting with - in my cardiac rehab class, as a matter of fact - were talking about their kids and grandkids, etc.)

So - who has a funny story about losing - or hiding - Easter eggs?

Here's mine: when I was about 8, we kinda lost count of the eggs we'd hidden. Mom thought we'd come up short, but after looking and looking, decided she was wrong. The following November, with our first snow, she put on her boot and the worst odor emanated from the boot - guess where the Easter egg was :D :D :D ?!?!?!?! New snow boots for Mom that year!

Hope everyone has a great Easter, or had a wonderful Passover.

I used to have a Bassett hound named Casey. He was a real hoot.

One Easter when my kids were little I put the boiled and colored eggs and some Easter candy in the living room for cute decoration.

Silly, me. I woke up to find that Casey had eaten every egg including the shells, and all the candy including the wrappers and lollipop sticks. Casey had a tummy ache, and needed a trip to the doggie doctor for a cleanout.:p

He also once ate an entire half-gallon of Friendly's watermelon ice cream along with the carton.

So Happy Easter to all, and don't leave your Easter goodies where the dog can get them.

And Happy Easter Casey, wherever you are.

Those of us with children dread the day we enter their rooms for a cleaning. I usually weed out every couple of months to keep the clutter under control. Few weeks after Easter last year we found a clear plastic egg under the bed with 8 little pieces of chewed gum tucked away inside for safe keeping. Why do our precious little gems act like pack rats:confused: :D

Have a blessed Easter everyone.

Years ago we had a family outing with many cousins, aunts, uncles, grands, etc. The children hid the eggs over and over. One family of children hid their eggs, one of them in their grandfather's sock. Nobody could find it. Finally the grandfather reached down to retrieve the egg - of course, it was raw and broke! Those rotten kids planned it that way!:D :D
