Thank you everyone! My day started with breakfast in bed (family tradition). A light day at work. A 30 minute workout. Hair cut (TMI for sure). An evening BBQ with friends and neighbors. Today the Ranger-Yankee ball game with tailgating before hand with my darling wife, both boys and their wifes. Priceless.

Tommy! You were one of the members I looked to for guidance while waiting replacement.
Thanks very much for your kind words. You know that our support here cuts both ways. You encouraged my swimming in my early triathlon days. PS. my workout yesterday included a 250 yard spring in 4:23.

I've been reminicing lately..............it was almost exactly 7 years ago when I started running. I had run about 10 miles when an internet search led my to VR.com and the discovery of a whole new world of survivor/achievers/supporters. I dreamed of a marathon and my cardiologist approved. This board provided tremendous support. 7 months later I crossed a 26.2 finish line. 4 months later I reached the top of Pikes Peak on foot. And a few months later, a 2nd marathon.

Switching to triathlon provides better overall fitness and balance than running alone. Between injuries and surgeries for other things (all okay now). I come back to my swim-bike-run routines and love it.

I've logged every workout and race since day one. 26 runs and 11 triathlons. A couple of podium visits (small fields), including one 1st place finish in a short triathlon in the pouring rain. I notice that I'm closing in on 10,000 miles total. 5003 bike. 2946 run. 1754 walk. 183 swim.

Life is precious. God is good. Thank you again my friends.
