Hope everyone has a fun and safe holiday weekend. There probably won't be too many fireworks displays -- too dry and too hot in many places.

We have a busy holiday weekend, but we'll be staying close to home. My parents' 60th anniversary is today, so we have a family dinner at a Dallas (TX) restaurant tonight.
My 29th anniversary is tomorrow, and sad to say, we have a funeral to attend at 1 p.m. A childhood friend's only daughter (age 21) was killed in a 3-car accident Monday morning on her way to class in a college town. My friend's parents still live across the street from my parents.

Wherever you're going this holiday weekend, please drive safely and enjoy the holiday safely, too, -- and STAY COOL!
