First, thanks for your peience with my questions. Another one! My palms have been completely peeling since surgery and they feel very leathery. My knuckles are awful as well. My hands feel very tight as a result. At first, I thought it was from the hospital dry air, but I am now almost 5 weeks post op and they seem to be getting more leathery and peeling. A neighbor mentioned I could be allergic to my medication. I am only on Coumadin, beta blockers and aspirin. I searched the net but can't find anything. Has anyone had anything similar?

Maybe, just odd that I did have it before surgery. I will ask my surgeon at my post op. Thanks!

Here's a "really outside the box" thought -- could it just be your body's way of reacting to the stress it was subjected to?

Some people lose hair after surgery. I had a line on all my finger and toe nails. Your body under severe stress shuts down certain un-needed systems, like nail production, hence the line where the nails stopped and started growing.
