Well, Dr. McCarthy's assistant called late yesterday afternoon. They want me to be at the hospital Monday at 11:00 AM, so I guess that means that I'm scheduled in the OR at around 1:00 PM. That said - probably won't be any updates until evening, but either my wife or my daughter will post for me.

Between now and then - brunch with some ham radio buddies today, dinner with the family this evening, then a quiet day at home with the family tomorrow.

Soon enough. . .

All the best, Steve. Soon we'll be comparing battle scars and posting on the post surgery thread!

Pack a bag? Sounds like all I will need should fit into one of those little throw away grocery bags. . .

Sure, pack an overnight bag or backpack with a few things that will comfort you.
My hospital wasn't near my home so I took along spare clothing, toothbrush/paste, lip balm, writing paper/pen,
peppermint gum, slippers, small book, hair comb, etc. Nothing fancy just basics.

Steve,

We will ALL be thinking of you.....prayers and positive energy....I hate to be repeating myself but it makes sense to me....I know you will be fine....I look forward to reading of your progress...have a fun but relaxing day with your family ...
prayers and hugs,
Jeri
