Bad news for henslyee..reunion in Orlando..over the weekend....Bad news for you, too..good news that South Alabama and South Georgia need the rain..NOT us in North Ga.. Sick of rain..Bonnie

NOTE: At the time I posted this, the map showed Panama City FL was the target and Katrina was a Category 1. I don't really wish a hurricane on anyone!

My wife and I have decided that Florida, and especially the Florida Panhandle (where we live) should be renamed "Hoover" or "Oreck". Heck, if the Oreck can pick up a bowling ball, you'd think we could invent a Super Oreck that could just suck up storms and make 'em disappear! This is getting old, real fast.

We could use a little bit

We could use a little bit

of rain up in Wisconsin. Still pretty dry here. Sorry y'all are going through this again... enough is enough. I'll be thinking about you & hope you stay safe & dry.

I live in the middle part of Georgia. It looks like we are in for lots of rain Monday. The hurricane that made it through here a few months ago dumped over 12 inches of rain in one night on my house. Husband was out in the rain before we left for work at 6 A.M. draining water out of the pool. We are headed to Biloxi the 4th of September for vacation. I will be watching for more tropical strorms and hurricanes between now and then.

Just when you thought it couldn't get any worse....

Just when you thought it couldn't get any worse....

Another Hurricane!!! All of you down south have my deepest wishes for your safety, and I will be keeping you in my thoughts and prayers . Please Take Care and Stay Safe. Harrybaby :D

I saw this on the morning news. My hubby and son should be reaching Rochester NY about the time the remants of the hurricane hit that area. Suppose they will get wet, or should they expect winds, too?

This hurricane should not have much wind..once it comes ashore...Ivan was really bad and took out trees 100 miles inland.. ..Now, rain is another thing..I'm sure all the East coast states will get their share next week. I understand that rain cause more deaths than anything during a Hurricane....flooded roads,..ect..people living along creeks, ect..Bonnie

Yikes!

Yikes!

Yikes Yaps! I know you folks down there are much more at risk, but that path takes Katrina right near where we'll be moving to a new home in western Virginia next week. And those hurricane remnants have produced major flooding sometimes in the past (for example, I was out there in Camille in 1969 when it dropped 30 inches of rain in one night).

Hurricane Katrina also is a poignant name for my wife and I. Our first-born was named Katrina. We lost her to leukemia at age 15 months. So everytime I hear Hurricane Katrina it gives me a weird feeling...

Stay safe down there.

Rob

Im here, hubby sat at comp yesterday..lol..and didnt move for hours.. grandkids had the living room comp, so ..I watched movies and read my book.
We are staying, I believe Katrina is going to Nawlans(New Orleans).
But we are still batting down any open hatches , as storms like her are so unpredictable.
My daughter and family will evacuate if it seems dangerous, but John and I will stay.
Thanking all of you , and do we have any in LA?
It will be very bad if she hits NO, low lying and already prone to flooding.
Prayers to all in her path.
