You know how Google attempts to guess what you are looking for based on what other people search for? Well, yesterday was a dreary, rainy Monday, I was tired and wanted to be at home in bed. I needed to know the average length of stay for a surgical procedure, so I go to Google and type in average. Before I could go any farther, the most frequently searched item popped out at me (pun intended). Apparently there are a lot of insecure people in the world. Made me laugh yesterday and again today when I thought about it!

Go ahead, open another window and see what I'm talking about! You know you are curious!

you must be using american google. over here, google.com automatically
defaults to google.th, no way around it. thus i am using google.com.au

so it appears those results are country specific. in australia for "average,"
the results in order are:

iq, height, weight, (mr.happy) length, australian wage, wage australian

results in thailand:

collection period, speed, (something in thai), excel, (something else in thai),
joe

results in germany? mr.happy is #9

in france? mr. happy doesn't appear in the top ten, but "frustrated chump"
is #7 [i presume they're related]

Why does it surprise me that Chou did great research on this topic?

In America, everything's a competition, but well hung is apparently more important than well versed!

Chris, you are hilarious! Love your headline!

Come on, only 3 views? Some of you need a laugh, I'm sure!

I just realised my search history is saved and browsable even from years ago. I clicked on a link that I hadn't noticed before called "view history" and every single search I've ever made on google while signed in was there. It has statistics abotu my searches and all sorts of other stuff that kinda creeped me out. I'm not going to leave my computer signed in to google at work anymore.

This should show your history: http://www.google.com/history/?hl=en
