Christina and Wayne,

Great news! Best wishes for a full recovery. Take it slow and easy, one day at a time....!

Jennie

Wayne,
I am so glad Chris got a repair. That is great news. Our prayers were answered. It's all downhill from here. Keep your spirits up.

Way to go Chris

Way to go Chris

Somehow I don't think you'll be making any more jokes about Cleveland in the future!!!!

Congrats on the repair; obviously Coloradans rule these days (I digress - can you guys do something to help the Broncos???).

Keep up all updated. Somehow I think Chris is one happy girl.

Way to go on the repair, Christina. We expect to see you recovering and rehabbing in very short order now - no lollygaggin around !! Chris

YEA!!!

YEA!!!

Right on, Chris!! A repair! I'm so happy for you. Doesn't it feel good to just have that rotten surgery behind you?!

Now no 'fibbin' !!

GREAT NEWS

Christina, I am sooooo happy for you. Seems like we have had everything our way. and you, you lucky skunk, got a repair.:)
Heres wishing your recovery is as tolerable as mine has been.
I am now 10 days post-op and slowly get better each day, and time marches on, so you can look forward to always getting progressively better.

BIG SMILES FOR YOU:D :D :D

I just talked to Wayne and Chris has been moved into step down. He said she's doing great. She had been out of bed and eating, though she said she's gonna get us as it wasn't as easy as we made it out to be. He said the tube didn't come out until way late last night, so I know she was going nuts. Hopefully with everything everyone told her, she had a better overall experience then what she would've had if she hadn't been informed.

I guess we'll wait until we hear from her. Should be soon!! ;)

That's great news! Thanks for the update Ross!

Question....why do some people struggle with that breathing tube? Did they not get around to removing it? Or was it truly needed? Sorted bunch of questions. Have always wondered because mine was long gone before my family first viewed me after surgery. Obviously I was asleep;) Have no recollection of the tube! Whew!

From what Wayne was telling me, her lung function hadn't yet returned. She was still somewhat paralyzed from the Anesthesia. She awoke sooner then most people do which has good and bad benefits to it. The bad is obvious, the tube.

I've been tubed numerous times and out of all of them, I only remember 2 incidents. Everyone is different and the whole thing is different for all of us.

Now that you mention it, that was my one complaint at the CCF. The anesthesiologist seemed to think I weighed 500 lbs, and needed a concomitant dose of anesthetic. I was reeling for three days. Sheesh.

The poor girl - she is tiny - I wonder if they might have done the same thing to her? Hope her memory of the experience deminishes after a few days. :)

Sigh..............

Sigh..............

That is wonderful news. I am so glad that things went well for her. It is so good to hear success stories.

Hey Chris "atta girl". :D

Congrats Chris

Congrats Chris

Let everyone wait on you..but remember to walk, walk, Bonnie

Perhaps that is the Cleveland Clinic's philosophy re the anesthesia since Melissa had the same deal. I was told at my hopsital that they try to do the minimum needed. I was extubated before I even woke up and woke up quite alert as I can describe in detail almost everything the afternoon that I woke up. Chris, don't get mad at me. I tried to persuade you to have it here! :D
