Okay, Coach, after you've done this, you will feel like 34, not 54 or 80. I had my turn at valve and root replacement at age 63 and I am now very active again. On Bikini Patrol again (observing, not wearing)

I, too, was very worried about waking up with the vent. Many find it's out by the time they wake up. But mine was in because I was slow to recover oxygen intake, and you know what: It wasn't a problem. The nurses in the ICU were great. It came out pretty soon, while I was aware but still foggy. And I needed it -- just go with the flow and let it do the work.

All blessings to you. Look forward to hearing more leading up to your surgery and after you are over here on the other side.

Cheers...

Coach, you absoutely have to let us know how it goes - we worry. We will all be there with you in spirit, cheering you on !

Check out the OnX link at the top of this page, it may lead to info on how to find out about how to get into the low-warfarin trials. I'm not sure, so check it out

All the best Coach and we will all be with you through surgery
it's a good feeling knowing the wait is soon over with.

Coach, you will be in my thoughts and prayers. Keep us updated when you can and spend this week doing things that you normally don't do.
God Bless!
