Isn't live strange, an hour after posting my reply I got the call! I can't believe it, I really can't believe it! I'm being done on MONDAY! 11th Sept! OF ALL DAYS! I hope this date is a bit luckier for me than is was for other people! I'm happy it's going ahead but I'm so scared

One thing I've learned, don't question the postponement. Assume that it is for the better and your safety. The stars didn't line up right, maybe there aren't enough pygmies in the rain forest, whatever, it will happen when it's ready to happen. ;) I put your new date on the calendar.

Thanks a million Ross, I'll keep you all updated on how everything goes, just need to get through the weekend first!

Will be thinking of you on Monday and sending prayers and best wishes your way. Do something special for yourself this weekend and Godspeed.

Don't be scared!

Don't be scared!

Don't be scared Ravenhead. You can do it!! My Ross was 9 years ago. Things with that are great. I do have an Aortic Root issue that needs to be addressed. Do you know if your surgeon plans on looking at that while he is in there or is he just doing the valves?

Sept 11 was lucky (blessed) for 20,000 30,000 40,000 ? people who made it through a traumatic event and spent that evening with their families.

You will do the same.

See you on the other side. Keep us posted. You are in our prayers.

David

hi ravenhead,
just wanted to wish you all the best on monday. before you know it, the worst will be behind you and you'll be on the road to recovery.

where in ireland are you from? my "new" sister-in-law is from killarney. we went to the wedding this past june. it was held near kerry at the sheens fall lodge_ what a magnificent place! beautiful country.

she and my brother live outside of amsterdam in the hague. they are in ny for 3 weeks to be with our dad while he undergoes valve repairs aug.14th.
i will be thinking of you next week and praying as well. if you have someone who can let us know how things go/went, we would be grateful.
wishing you all the best.

be well, sylvia

Raven,
I am a fellow Ross patient. You will feel so good a few weeks following surgery. The waiting is the awful part. I am 2 months post-op; walking 2 miles a day and feeling good!
I'll be praying for your speedy recovery,
Terry
