Yes! Nails bitten down to the nubs during 1st half of the game. Sox win - head to the World Series!

Go Sox!

Go Sox! I visited my mother-in-law's classroom in Chicago today and the school is all abuzz. I can't claim to be a major fan, but years ago (when Ozzie Guillen was playing) I had season's tickets and I went to one game this season. I'd love to see them win!

Yeah, and the Cardinals suck so bad. They should have just rolled over and handed it to the Astros....

I am SO glad I went to bed at the end of the nineth. I thought the Astros had it but guess not. This has been an exciting series hasn't it?

Oh for those who don't know Andrew had gotten tickets for the 2nd game from our Children's hospital. Get zapped on Wednesday see world series on Sunday. Sounds like a plan doesn't it?

Couldn't keep my eyes open after the 10th. Glad to wake up this a.m. with that win.

Can't believe I watched the whole thing

Can't believe I watched the whole thing

Yes, I did watch the WHOLE thing! (One advantage of being a post-op insomniac.) Another frustrating ending for a National League team. Your Sox are in the catbird's seat now, Karlynn. They're a bunch deep with talent. And also blessed with a fair amount of luck this postseason.

I told you Bob! :p :p :p
I am sooooooooooooooo glad that the Sox are dominating this series. If St. Louis can't do it, then I want Chicago as the hometown of the World Series champs.

Both my husband and I just said "Oh well." when Konerko missed a foul ball catch due to fan interferance. They have had some questionable calls go their way. And have had some go against them (Like Astros homerun last night when the ball hit the foul zone of the wall.) But as the A's coach said in the ALCS "That's the nature of the game." Instant replay would ruin baseball.

Did you see that the guy that caught the foul ball Konerko was going for, gave it to Konerko and then Konerko turned around and gave it to a kid standing there. Konerko didn't even look annoyed. He is known as a real stand-up man here in the Chicago area. He's very humble and very genuine. It will cost a mint to keep him.

Mary, did you know that Joe Crede (3rd base) is from St. Jo MO? My son's roommate at Mizzou was laughing that he beat up Crede's little brother on the school playground. What a claim to fame. Crede is also incredible. I got upset with him last night for missing a grounder and then realized it's because he tends to get the uncatchable ball more often than not.

This game tonight could be more than my little wounded heart can take.

Nyah, nyah, nyah. :p Well, just "wait til next year," when we'll be on the same side again -- as Redbirds' fanatics, Mary. :D Meanwhile, congrats to the Sox -- I didn't mean to imply luck has gotten them where they are. They look like the most deserving bunch I've seen this postseason. Really like that Crede -- he reminds me of a Cardinals third-sacker of yore, Ken Boyer. Take good care of that heart of yours tonight, Karlynn.
:)

Didn't take any offense. There's no doubt that the Boys in Black have had some controversial calls go their way. I think the fact that some have been at critical times have made them a wee more noticable. :D

We went thru this last year with the Red Sox, what a series it was!!!!! I hope your White Sox win the series.. Rose

Yep,
I've been suitably impressed by Crede. I didn't know he was from St. Joe; actually I think that's real close to Glenda, but I'm not sure.

I watched WGN news at noon today, and saw the piece where they asked Chicagoans how sleepy they were this morning (pretty sleepy :D :D )!

Can you imagine how the folks waking up in Houston this morning must have felt!

I hope the White Sox wrap it up tonight so we can all get some sleep. :D :D

If the Sox win tonight, it will be the first time a team has won 2 World Series games in the same day.

Boooooo!!!

Boooooo!!!
