Getting to the front of the waiting room

The only thing i would think about, since it is a 2 day car trip, would it be possible for you to fly to the closest airport and have whoever is driving down meet you there to cut most of the ravel off your trip there?

Now that's an idea ! My husband is driving. We don't have to book anything till the last minute really though, so I'm just going to think positively about recovery and look forward to things otherwise I just think about that moment in the operating theatre and that isn't helpful for me !

This is not a boast... just another example of how quickly you'll be up and about. On the 17th day after my surgery last year, I attended a wedding and reception. It was my first outing (other than doctor visits) and I was still somewhat tired and weak. I predict you'll be taking that vacation as planned. Good luck!
