Well, less than a week to go and will be moving to a new place. Not perfect, but livable. I will be just a spit away from my brother. I am doing the move for several reasons. Of the building I am now living in, there have been too mamny things happening to endanger my well being and safety. The 1st floor door was smahed twice, keys been broken in lthe lock of the front door twice. People broke the ceiling on one of the elevator ceiling and spit on the elevator panel and the front door, inside. It is getting terrible and I am getting out before it gets out of hand. The manager is letting everyone in that can pay rent for two months before they leave her high and dry. I just want out and will be closer to my brother. He helps in many different ways. And I will not have to go far to get the grocery store, just walk it. I will try to get back as quickly as I can. Take care all and keep healthy and walk everyday.

Caroline, that is really scary. Glad to know you are getting out and close to someone in your family. I have heard that KC has gotten dangerous and isn't it a shame that we can be scared to live in our homes. I am so sorry. Blessins and prayers...........

Caroline,

I wish you well in your move and new home. I am sure, being so close to your brother, that it will be a happy place very quickly.

Be safe and careful until then.

Wishing you the best in your move Caroline!

Wishing you the best in your move Caroline!

I too recently (5 months ago) moved because my landlord wanted to have drug dealers as tenants...I tried to reason with him and all he said was 1. "I am not emptying out the building again!! (In a nasty tone) and 2. I don't care how I get my money as long as I get it.

Well gee, guess what...I decided that I didn't have to live in such a dangerous setting, so I moved to a much safer place which is more peaceful and quiet-I don't regret the move ONE BIT!!

What is funny is that I talk with my former next door neighbor (in the house next door), and my former landlord is regretting his ignorance of the drug dealer situation, and has had to fight to get his rent money out of them and he FINALLY decided to evict all of them. I guess it just goes to show you that what goes around, comes around, but still, he drove the two tenants out (My former neighbor Missy and I) who paid him on time, every month without fail....

I hope your move is every bit as peaceful as mine was...Take Care, Harrybaby :D :D :D :D

Here I am, boxes practically packed and ready to go, phone will be shut off soon. Will be on hopefully Sunday and post. Got mad at building manager for not letting me borrow a gate key for my move. Another tenant is helping me with her gate key. Be glad when the move day is here and be at the new home. I will be fine. My friends at work have been great with putting up with my tension outbursts. I will be happy soon. Have fun today all. Later! :D
