Well, we made it to Los Angeles, found the hospital today (after a few times getting lost, no thanks to Mapquest directions  ). Pre-op testing most of the day tomorrow, CT Angio on Friday, then the weekend to relax. Surgery still on for Monday. Will keep you posted... Thanks again to everyone for your support. :D

Glad you made it to LA ;).

And, of course, good luck and thoughts/prayers coming your way for tomorrow, the weekend, and next week.

BTW, I only use mapquest to estimate times anymore ... the directions are so, well, odd, that I use the good ol' fashion map/atlas to plot my trips ;).

I have never had this problem with them in the past. We hadnt acquired a good map/atlas of the area yet, so this was all we had, and little good that did. We ended up finding it more by accident than anything. Just one more little frustration....

Angela,
Glad you are on the last leg of the journey. Settle in, have some fun and we look forward to your post-surgery report on your mom. My best to all of you.
Don't forget to go shopping in Beverly Hills. :D ;)

*chuckles*

Yeah, I can understand how it was a frustration to find it by accident ... but, just keep in mind that sometimes finding things by accident is more fun ... because you discover MORE than you might have otherwise ;).

Angela,
BTW - the best bakery in the world (I'm not kidding) is not too far from the hospital. You should plan to visit and either eat there or do take out. Their chocolate mousse cake is to die for. I worked with a man who had one made as his wedding cake.
The bakery is called "Sweet Lady Jane's" and it is on Melrose Avenue. Here is their website:

Definitely find time to go - you will not be disappointed.
