GODSPEED.

Wishing all four of you successful surgeries and uneventful recoveries. Please have someone post for you as you know we all worry.

Thank you!!

Thank you!!

We are on our way Monday 5am to get over the "hump"...in the OR at 7am...cutting to begin about 8ish.( EST)...I am told to expect an 8 hour wait...aprox 6 for the actual preocedure....

I'm bringing my laptop with me and was told that there is acess at the hospital..so I should be able to give an update on Garin that day.....
We went and bought PJs with button tops today ( for the leads) and a vain search for slippers...aparently one cannot get slippers for boys/men in July...flip flops only..tough luck if you have a summer hospital stay!

Garin is still remarkedly calm...he's busy loading up his new iPod with tunes...me....kinda a wreck still, but...........Today, for the first time, he actually admitted that he gets tired quickly...had to rest while shopping..it was, to me, a sign that it is time.

I had a call from his surgeon on Fri and we went over it all again..Bental procudure with a St. Jude HP size 21...

Mear hours away............sleep aludes me :(

Sounds a bit like my schedule the last time I had surgery (January 2003). Except, when they told me what time to arrive, they "forgot" that they don't start as early on Mondays....so, lucky me got to see in the waiting room for an hour before I was called. It was frustrating then, but kind of funny now...he he he.

Good luck!

Thoughts/prayers to all having surgery this week.

4 new folks

4 new folks

I will be praying for each of you on your day of surgery, see ya all on the other side. Great place to be!!

I will be keeping everyone in my prayers and checking for updates often. Claud, if Garin's room doesn't have access for your laptop, just unplug the phone and use that jack so be sure to take a long phone cable if you have one, that what we ended up doing for Justin when he was in in May. I will be praying Lyn www.caringbridge.org/nj/justinw

Only a few (relatively) hours to go. I check in at 0630 on Tuesday and should go up about 0830. In the last week I have decided its time to get it over with. We took a family vacation last week and this was the first time I had trouble keeping up with my two teenage sons. Can't let that happen again. As the man says, "I much to young to feel this d**n old."

Earliest report will be probably be when I get home from the hospital, as I haven't taught my wife how to log in to the site yet.
