Now For the Smart Alleck Response...
Then to end the Light Bulb controversy once and for all... From an ex California ultra liberal tree-hugger (Who once hugged a tree so hard he girdled it, thus killing the poor thing.
). Forget the light bulb! Don't change it! Obliterate it!!!
Replace them all with WHITE LEDs! Leave those wolframite (tungsten ore) deposits alone! Get rid of those mini fluorescents and put the mercury back in thermometers and bottles of Mercurichrome where it belongs. Think of all the sand saved from not making all that glass, and whatever the heck that white stuff inside the bulbs is made from as well. (Note: No apostrophe between LED and s--lest my 'grammar' turns over in her grave...)
Of course this ex Californian has been voting for much more conservative candidates as of late, and lives in Idaho--and gladly burns firewood in his high-efficiency wood burning stove--okay it's a compromise--AND I still use and change on occasion light bulbs, or is it light-bulbs? Or lightbulbs? Nah! My spell checker nixed the last one so I guess it's now just light bulbs. None on in here, though--just typing by yellow monitor light--a CRT one I might add...
