Niki, remind yourself that you are going to keep this appointment for 2 main reasons - as you stated.
1) to get your thyroid checked
2) and to check your potassium
then heck, while they are at it they might as well take a look at this tiny pea size thing - if they/you can find it.
Good Luck with you appointment and have fun at the birthday party.

Don't panic! It may be the sweat glad, ingrown hair, virus etc.

Had the opportunity to examine "fake tissue" with a pseudo tumor enclosed in it. Was a breast, yes. The tumor felt very even (perfectly round) hard and about the size of a pea. Was a great opportunity to see what one could be looking for. Hospital program for mother and daughter. My Daughter has now had some early training. We did get a few chuckles out of the experience as well!

Prayers your way Niki. Please keep us posted.

Just got back from the doctor a little while ago. He says it's "fatty tissue" or a cyst, but that it's not infected, so it's nothing to worry about. If it gets significantly bigger or painful, he said to call.

I still feel pretty silly for going in for it. But at least I got my thyroid and potassium checked while I was there. It wasn't a total waste of time. ;)

Never feel silly about getting something checked out. Peace of mind is worth everything. Glad it was nothing.

Wise words from the chimp. Glad it was nothing to be concerned about.

Great news. Niki. Never, ever feel silly about checking something out that concerns you. You have health insurance for heaven's sake...and you pay for it!

So glad it was nothing to worry about any further.

Best wishes,

Marguerite

*sigh of relief*

AWESOME news, Niki! Glad it was "nothing to worry 'bout" ;).
