While we are on the subject of lab errors......was at the ER last week and I overheard two nurses talking. One was breaking the other in on the facility procedures, etc.
New regulations/testing procedures that were just released for calculating INR's...you know after the hospital in Philly episode. Anyway, nurse #1 brought up to nurse #2 and said ''new guidelines blah blah", and I lost my paper. Proceeded to go on to the next topic.
Pity the next person coming in that may crucially need adjustments. Scary huh?
Yes, as Christina said....learn to trust your home testing method because that may be all you have to fall back on!
