Is there such a thing "as the right time" of day to self test?
Before or after eating?
How long after a meal either it be lunch or supper?
Just before bedtime?

Or am I just thinking too much and I should just do it?

Nope. Poke when you feel like it.

I usually do mine at 4 am on Wednesdays, but I've waited until late evening, early Thursday, whatever. Coumadin takes so long to show that it doesn't much matter.

Freddie, you can do it when you like.
I usually check mine every second Thursday during the afternoon, when I am home alone and undisturbed.
It helps if I make sure that my cat is not in the room because she loves to "help" me. ;)

I do mine after I've showered or bathed. Body is nice and warm and it's very easy to get a drop of blood.

oh good Lord, I think its bedtime.
Bina, I just read your reply as " I usually check mine every second Thursday afternoons" . (Second as in time)
I know what you said and what you meant - I just read it really wrong LOL

I'll be doing a no-no......heaven forbid.
Tomorrow I should go to the lab for my test, but there is no way I can make it in this week. So, I'm kinda thumbing my nose up at my doctor (cause she won't get any results for this week) and saying.......well I just won't say it, but I'm sure you all know what I'm thinking :)

I poke at the beginning of the week. Usually after breakfast but that's just because I get all squirmish with out food in my tummy. :) Remember I hate needles. :)
Freddie, just do it when you want!!! Many happy pokes to you! :)

Thanks everyone.
I was just curious.
You know, if you wait 2 hours after eating would it have any effect on your range blah, blah, blah.
I guess just being clam, cool and relax is the protocol for home testing.
