Hi Carla, and welcome !
From one who has had depression, and been on meds for it, for about 15 years now, I know it is not easy. My ICU doctor was concerned, as she said depression is common after heart surgery. I had a couple "weepy" days once I got home, but it was just that I had pulled some muscles in my back. I have a touch of arthritis in my right shoulder, and getting in and out of bed really did me in, and I also wasn't getting good sleep, as I had to sit up to sleep, and I really like to bundle up in my blanket, and never sleep on my back.
My suggestions : take as much pain med as you need, you can cut it back later; next time you see a doc (any doc will do!!!) tell them about the detpression, tiredness etc. Also, what is with your sugar?? could that be the cause of the tiredness, lethargy?? maybe you should get that checked out, too. as it could be the root of your problems.
