It felt good being back at work for the first time since my surgery on March 5th. Even though it was only for a few hours, I was able to get some design work done. I'll go in again this Thursday, and after my cardiologist appointment this Friday, I'll probably be allowed to do more time at the office.

Glad to hear you are doing well! Being back at work gave me that "well, I must be all better now" feeling. I'd still rather be playing at home with my daughter though. Where do you find these wonderful docs/bosses that let you ease back in? I had surgery on Feb 28 and was working full time and then some starting April 30.

Marc,

I know how good that feels - to be able to get back into "regular" life, even for a couple of hours at a time. If you are careful ramping up the time, you will be back into full productive mode really soon. Just don't overdo it. Watch the stress (yeah, right. . . ) and be mindful of how you feel. Before you know it, you will be back at 100%.

Day number 3 back to work for me. Today is my first day trying my whole normal routine of up at 4:30am, head to the gym then work until 6:00pm. We'll see if I make it. It does feel good to be back at work.

I'm lucky enough to be able to work from home 3 days a week. For me, getting back to a regular schedule was such a relief. (well...that and getting my driving reinstated) I can't tell you how much better I feel and how much energy I have. It's been 3 months now and life is great! Still have some sternum pain which will take a few more months to heel. But I really feel (forgive the cliche) renewed. Plus....I've lost weight.
