Hey how's everybody been? I have had a tough go this last couple of weeks. I switched my internet from dial up to DSL, so I am happy with that...

I do have a couple of questions...I feel like I have had fluid back on my lungs. I have talked to my cardiologist's secretary, and he wants me to see an electrophysiologist regularly, and I have an appointment with my PCM on the 26th. I couldn't get in before then, but I have been keeping in touch with his nurse. Does anybody have any idea what tests the EP docs do? Are they the ones who do the TEE's? I'm confused. Thanks in advance!

Hi Joy,

Glad you are back on line. Are you all settled in the new house?

The Web address before explains what the electrophysiologist does. I found several listing on google search engine using the word electrophysiology.
I hope this helps.

This is written by Dr Rich, who was an EP when he was in practice and there's a lot on this website.

You can also go to about.com heart disease/cardiology (Dr Rich) forums, and ask him anything you want to know - he will personally answer your questions. But he won't give advice online - it's against the law. But he's very, very good and you can learn a lot from him.

Best - Ann

Hey Ann and Nadi, I just got off the phone with my cardiologist, and from my syptoms that I have been having, they feel like I am having flu symptoms. Body aches, headaches, weak shortness of breath, and chills. I am still going to my regular doctor on the 26th. The coumadin isn't too bad, I am so used to it, that I just take it like clockwork. I see my cardiologist for my 2 year check up on September 29th at 3:30. Wish me luck! I am having my pre op appointment for either a hysterectomy or an endometrial ablation on the 15th of July. I have come to peace with it, and am actually looking forward to having that done! I just don't see a reason to have my periods if I can't have any more kids. Beside that, my scar tissue(c-section) is getting fibrosis again, so maybe they can do something about that too. Shheeeesh, it never ends.

How have you been, Ann? Healing well? God bless!

Gettin there, Joy - it's been slow - the pneumonia was a baddie. Now I know why our dear Ross was so sick last year when he had his surgery.

I did a small load of laundry today - I was so proud!

Hi Joy!

Welcome back to our little planet. I was beginning to think you forgot about us. Have things settled down yet?
