For those of you getting ready to face your battle, or those of you successfully on the other side and recovering, here are some encouraging words forwarded to me today (of a religious nature):

TODAY'S DECLARATION:
Some of you are at the tip of your blessings & breakthroughs, the enemy knows that, so that's why the closer you get, the attack is intensified. Why? Because the enemy got a sneak preview of your future & he's trying EXTREMELY hard to make sure you don't see the ENTIRE MOVIE!!! You wonder why it seems like you can't take it anymore? God wants to make sure that you WILL appreciate the hard times. He wants to make sure that humility is a part of your nature. He wants to make sure that man doesn't get the glory for your breakthroughs!!! The blessings that are coming your way, you are going to appreciate the hard times!!! Thank God for the struggles, whether you believe it or not, God is in it, during the entire process!! Be like Job & know that when you come out of what you are in, you are going to get double for your trouble!!!! DON'T GIVE UP OR GIVE IN, YOU ARE TOO CLOSE!!!!! THERE'S A BLESSING IN THE STRUGGLE!!!! MAKE A COVENANT WITH YOURSELF "THAT FOR THE NEXT 10 DAYS, I WILL NOT COMPLAIN ABOUT WHAT I AM GOING THROUGH, BUT I WILL REJOICE IN ADVANCE FOR MY COMING OUT PARTY"!!!!!

What a nice declaration and so very true. This site is full of people who know life is sweeter than most average people think it is. We rejoice in breathing in and breathing out, and putting one foot in front of the other.

Welcome to our little gang!

I like this very much and is actually how I try to live my "waiting-room" days...

I occaisionally allow myself to wallow in self-pity...

99% of the time though I rejoice at the miracle I am about to become part of...

it really is a great way to get through...

thanks for sharing roxdrop

Thank you for those encouraging words. More than any other time in my life I'm trying to make a conscious decision to walk on faith and believe there are some wonderful blessings that will come out of this experience. I'm in the middle of trying to identify a surgeon and make a replacement choice for my aortic valve. Sometimes I find myself trying to rely completely on my own strength and judgment. That's exhausting. When I put my trust in my higher power, things are so much easier. Trust has never been my strong suit but I have a chance here to do things differently. I pray I learn to let go, at least a little bit. Blessings on you all.
