[I went West in 2004 (Missouri, Kansas, Colorado, Wyoming, Utah, New Mexico, Oklahoma, Texas, Arkansas...which will be repeated in 2006, adding Arizona & California).] The schedule, while a bit more detailed now, is still tentative. Our bags are packed and ready for the 10th. Just come up with a place and we will be there. Someone in the Atlanta area might make a suggestion (and want to meet up). MY suggestion is to wait until you get on I-85 North of Atlanta before stopping. BELIEVE ME YOU WILL WANT A BREAK BY THEN!!!!!!! The North side might be closer for Bonnie (if she can break away from them grandbabies).

Cort, IIRC, The Varsity is a college "hang-out" type of place, not sure but might be a drive-in. I haven't been to HotLanta for a long time, but I used to spend one week of every month there for work (20 years ago). I think The Varsity is near the Emory University campus, in Atlanta proper -- not out in the 'burbs. It was a fun place back when I was an honorary citizen of the city. Could be worth a try.

Was your schedule to be in Columbus or Cleveland on the 17th and 18th of August? I'm probably going to be in Cleveland the evening of the 17th for a conference on the 17th and 18th, but won't have a car.

No, I won't be staying at the same place. I plan to be staying with some of my MC friends up there. I won't be at the weekend version of the Dream Cruise, but I should be in town Wed or Thurs night when the MI MC group will be getting together to "cruise the strip".....

It's a bit nervewracking not having the schedule set before I leave, but as I found out last year, sometimes the nonplanned visits/meets are just as excellent, if not more so....
