Great news that you are home and experiencing less pain this time around, Dugald! Let's hope it stays that way.

Don't forget to take it easy...breath, walk, and rest.

I, too was thinking of doing the Cycle for Beats in Sept ;however, I am a good 6 months ahead of you surgery wise. That is certainly a great goal.

All the very best for a continued smooth recovery.

Well I am now 5 weeks post surgery and feeling fairly good.
Started off well but it seems to be taking longer to recover this time round, although my surgeon told me 2nd surgeries take longer.
Still sore at the lump at the top of the scar and my Surgeon wants me to hold off driving and take it easy for another week or two.

Found out no Kryptonite for me, just the surgeon doing an amazing job of wiring me up coupled with a less painful experience.
I was told the glue runs $1000/use and the protocol at the Heart Institute is limited to Bypass surgeries where the patient has veins used from either side if the chest wall.

Good to hear from you, Dugald. Sorry to hear that your recovery is going a little slower than anticipated.
Hopefully the nice weather will boost your spirits and help with your healing.

Interesting about the kryptonite for CABG patients. I wonder if that will change at some point?
