I love to stay up late at night but due to having to get up at 5 A.M. to get ready for work I can't. In one year,11 months and 10 days I will be able to retire and my dream retirement is staying up late every night. Sometimes on the weekends I stay up unitl 2 or 3 A.M. I used to work night shift and I loved it. That was many years ago.

I was up, just not on. Kept waking Lyn up and she had to be up at 3am to get ready for work at 4.

when I was a young mother, I arose one early morning, was sitting at the table, facing an east window and saw the sun come up. That's when I fell in love with dawn. Just beautiful to watch the entry of a brand new day with all of its hours to be filled with whatever we want to make them.

My husband would stay up all night and sleep all day if he could get away with it. Unfortunately, the world runs on daylight, and the kids have to go to school, etc. I, too, prefer the night, and end up having to stay up most of the night more often than I'd like. Gone, however, are the days when I could pull multiple all-nighters and still be bright-eyed and alert at work. I just can't do it any more. I would like more sleep, but end up averaging 5 to 6 hours per night. Oh, well.

Since I had my surgery I have a harder time sleeping unless I go to bed late. I am going back to work next week so I am going to have to find a way to fall asleep earlier or go back to drinking coffee. :)

this morning 3 cats decided to have a prayer meeting in my bed. They came, pranced, jumped and visited. All at 4 a.m.! So I got up soon after and found daughter was already up!:eek:

Unfortunately, I have to get up at 6:15 to get my kids ready for school. I usually can't go to sleep until 12:30 or 1, so not too much sleep for me. My husband keeps telling me to go to bed earlier...easier said than done.
