Something the Lord Made..airing this Sunday at 9 P.M. Title came from Dr. Albert Blalock's Black assistant, Vivien Thomas...who made a shunt he stiches into a dog's heart. Movies opens in 1930 with Dr. Blalock hires thomas at Vanderbilt UniversityThomas was a great carpenter and was put to work performing experimentl surgeries on dogs. and Blalock takes him with to Johns Hopkins Hospital in 1943.. I don't have HBO. Wish I did. Review says most doctors today have never heard of Vivien thomas. Bonnie

and I am thrilled. what other town? Helen sits up here in the Mountains all by itself. :Or you talking about Sautee. 2 miles outside of Helen ..where we live? Sautee, is more quaint than Helen. Log cabin stores..1 over a hundred years old..All stores are made of logs..coffee houses, ect..and of course, Skylake where we live...Let me know the date ASAP.. You need at least 2 days up here..to see everything.....Bonnie

not comin to see the stores - just the two of you. However, I might take a peek, but daughter and whoever else comes, will visit them all! It's Sautee - Carola says Helen is so congested so Sautee, it is. Don't know yet when - just July. Linda's the school secretary; she has 3 wks off in July so I will visit her then. I will keep you posted.
