I guess "Irony rocks" isn't my only one.... I see some have posted a few others that I also utilize every now'n'then, most notably, "This, too, shall pass."

I suppose I could think of others, too ... but, don't want to take away anyone's contribution .

Ah, yes ... I have this one on a couple plaques ... one given to me by Gram and Gramps ... and one that they used to have hanging in their living room.

These two have gotten me through some tough times:

-- If you aren't happy with what you have, be grateful for what you have escaped. (Ann Landers, I think)

-- Never give up -- don't let the #$%^ win. (My favorite picture of this is attached.)

This one has been added recently:

-- Don't cry because it's over, laugh because it happened.

And when I'm having trouble with my computer or other "thing":

-- I will NOT let an inanimate object defeat me!

-- A former columnist for the Washington Post used to write about the Perversity Of Inanimate Objects, so sometimes just saying POIO (poe-e-oh) works too.

Even though it wasn't specifically said, this certainly was the theme during my best friend's Memorial service in December 1987. It was most-definitely a celebration.

Likewise for Gram's funeral in October 2002 ... and Gramps' service in December 2005.



And Gina ... dessert first sounds wonderful to me .
