I'd have to go with what most are saying. But don't think because you have no symptoms, that the valve won't need fixing down the road. I was completely symptom free and feel the same now as I did the week of surgery. I am a runner and I'm trying to get back to where I was the day before surgery (running wise).

If you're not sure, get a second opinion. But I would have to agree with siding with the surgeon and cardiologist.

Thanks for your note. I have two questions for you.

1. You said that you are a runner. How did you manage running before surgery? Isn't heavy physical activity restricted to slow the damaged valve?

2.You said that your surgery was robotically assisted. Could you please talk about this in little more detail.

Would appreciate your thoughts on this.
