Diet Coke & Coumadin

I was wondering if there are any bad side effects from drinking diet coke and taking coumadin?
I drink the caffeine free coke and i have been on a diet trying to lose weight which im doing good at and in the meantime ive gotton acustomed to drinking diet drinks often.
Just wondering if it or any other diet drinks (Coke Zero/Sprite Zero etc...) interact wth Coumadin?

Tommy....I drink diet drinks all the time.....I am a caffeine junkie Never had an effect on the stability of my INR.......Tom

Tommy, no need to fret. I too drink Pepsi all the time with no effect, nor was I ever told not to drink it. Heck my husband even brought up a can of Pepsi 2 days after surgery - yes in the hospital. Man that tasted good.

About all you need to stay away from is Grapefruit juice within a few hours of your Coumadin and Cranberry juice if your going to drink more then a glass full or two. Outside of these, I can't think of anything you can't drink.

Ditto. I was served diet RC Cola in the hospital. I drink 2-3 Diet Cokes each day with no INR effect.
