I had my annual defibrillator and pacemaker in-office checkup today, and after four years they're still doing great! I usually do over the phone checks every three or four months but have to go into the office once a year. Only 50% of the battery has been used, so I'm hoping for another four years before we have to change that out. As long as I don't have a BIG shock, I might just get that long. I'm still 99.5% pacemaker dependent. But when the tech stopped the pacemaker, my heartrate only dropped into the 40's. I have a little of my own pacemaker left. Anyway, if my regular checkup with my cardiologist goes as well in August, then I'll be a happy camper! LINDA
