Day 8 I sure feel like my recovery is taking longer than last time.

Today is the first time I have felt like being upright more than about 15 min at a time. Still feel slightly nauseated when I eat. Last time it seems like I was up and around more by now

this is totally normal
how old are you ?
I'm only 24 and this is day 12 for me i feel so tired to the point that i've regret having the operation done, because i was feeling much better back then but it's just a matter of time and we will get back and even better… stay strong… finger crossed

I am 52 I had a avr done at age 48 and woke from surgery knowing I was better. I had a steady progression of getting better that lasted for a good two months. This time it's not so much I have good days and bad days. I guess it's all different

I recently had a second AVR and have been puzzling ever since what the differences were between the two experiences. I think the first time I was so relieved to wake up, and so amazed at how easy it was (compared to fears beforehand). This time my expectations were based on that first experience, and it has just been...different.

Also, I've just had two people here tell me it's early days even at 9 weeks. I hope your good days outnumber out the bad soon. Be patient with yourself, but check with your medical team if anything is really worrisome.
