Thanks everyone!

I am feeling a little more at ease. I know we have chosen the one of the best hospitals in the country and I have confidence in them. I know that all things are possible with God...and I have chosen to give it all to him.
I went and got a massage yesterday to try and relax and it did help....I know that I am going to have to take breaks from everything in the coming months.
We have been very honest with our daughter....and it doesn't help that she hears about my "adventures" working in a ICU. But we thought it better to honest but remain optimistic about everything.

Thanks again for all the encouragement! Please keep us in your thoughts and prayers.

Glad to hear your feeling a little better - its a lot to take in.

Take Care & Best Wishes

On July 23rd he is having a PVR, sinus venous ASD closer and a Maze procedure. Needless to say we are scaried. I am a ICU RN and see the worst of the worst when it comes to complications from surgery whether it is CV or regular surgery. He is only 38.....and has a 10 year old. I am trying to stay the rock in the family but I am having a difficult time. Dawn

I'll bet you are more scared of the surgery than he is. That was true for me and my husband, as well as for other people with whom we have corresponded. Maybe when it comes to surgery risks you should let him be the rock.

When you say your husband "has a ten year old," does this mean this is your step-son or daughter? Do you have custody of this child? Do have any control of what others are telling him/her about the surgery?
