One of worst cases of crud I have ever had congestion moved into throat and chest and doc gave me some kind of antibiotic for 10 days use that looks like it's intended for horses, and strong enough for them:Cefuroxine Anetil, generic for Ceftin. Never had this one before, Plus he wants me to take OTC, MucinexDM, and that stuff is nasty.

Cold Tylenol did nothing. Cough drops do nothing. New horse meds have succeeded in preventing me from sleeping at all.

Guess maybe I ought to suspend midday walks with Superdawg for a few days, huh> She will not be happy but she is usually glad to hop into bed and look after me.

Hmmm, that crud sounds fimiliar. Had it a few weeks ago. Had to have antibiotic as well.

I think I have something similar... started in my ears and sinuses and now it's in my throat. It sucks. I'm taking some spare Keflex I had laying around.

I'm dealing with the Crud right now. Started while I was in St. Louis. My main complaint is the cough. At least it's a fairly productive cough.

Thanks for all the good wishes. Hope you feel better soon, Marsha. This antibiotic my doctor called in for me seems to be helping, along with perhaps the OTC MucinexDM. I was a little surprised the doc called in the AB without my having to go in, but maybe I hit the jackpot with my answers to the nurse's questions (such as the color of the stuff I am coughing up -- TMI, I know.
