Sherry, re the chest tightness after taking Aleve, I'm sure I have no idea. However, it is true that each person has a unique reaction to each drug. You should rarely judge what your reaction will be, based on someone else's reaction.

That, of course, does not include reactivity to other drugs, such as Coumadin. As far as interactions, I believe it is smart to take a hint from others' experiences.

If you are concerned, try a part-dose. If it allows two tablets, and eight hours between doses, take one tablet. If there is no reaction, take another two hours after the first. If everything is still fine, you can go to the normal dosage eight hours after the second tablet was taken. (Of course I realize you already figured that out for yourself.)

Best wishes,

Sherry, since you've been tested to death and nothing particularly has jumped out - have you tried an exercise therapist? Or physical therapy? Sometimes they can make miracles happen.

Hello, Georgia,
No, in fact that was the next route I was going to ask my general doc about. I was thinking about some kind of physical therapy or something. Anything to get a handle on this relentless pain in my shoulder/shoulder blade. I guess I'll try to get in early in June after I'm done teaching. My seniors are so crazy (senioritis) this time of year that I dare not leave them with a sub  Thanks for the advice, and I'll let you know how it goes.
