Two pounds -- wow, way to go, Rhena!

Superbob called an audible at the Italian eatery. They had a pork chop special and SB loves pork chops. Chops were cooked with zucchini and tomatoes on top, no rich sauces, and chops were lean. Came with three slivers of roast potato, salad, and small soup. Think SB came through with a high-protein, not terribly high cal dinner. Oh and it was delicious!

Cindy's report for this week.

Last Week: 145.6
This Week: 144.9
Weekly Change: -.7
Loss for RW&B: 5 (we think)

Now we're going to pick our horses for the Kentucky Derby.

After going to four grandkids' games today (2 grandkids X two sports each = four games), and being pressed into duty (out of retirement) as an assistant coach in the fourth game, Superbob treated himself to that Chicago hot dog. Figures he earned it -- yum!

Good for Cindy and Wise! Bet there's some party/festive eating and drinking going on now post-Derby in the good ol' Kentucky home! It was an exciting one. I rooted for Mucho Macho Man -- not just because of the name but because the gal who trains him is one of our fellow heart surgery survivors (big-time -- transplant!).. .Oh well, ol' Macho came in third out of that huge field. It was an exciting race.

It was exciting! I liked the story about the trainer who had a heart transplant. I felt bad for her. However, Animal Kingdom ran a spectacular race. We had a pretty low key day. No derby party for us. We went to breakfast (on Derby day we call it going to Derby breakfast) and we were bad because bad was all there was to be had, i.e., sausage, bacon, ham, scrambled eggs, biscuits, gravy, potatoes, fried apples.

Mother's Day -- Only right to take DW out to a major feast, Fried oysters for me --- fried, bad, I know, but deelish.

Burning the calories probably won't be a problem this week, however, for we are keeping a big ol' golden retriever, Buster, who is a homebody and requires attention -- walking him and Sadie together is quite a feat. Then there are occasional visits from Son of Superbob's yellow lab puppy, Dasher. So the energy level around here with all these golden dogs is really something. Will take all of Superbob's superpowers.;)

TheChimp is trying to try harder at this weight loss game....

What a week (and it's only half over). Keeping a big ol' golden retriever for a young couple in our church while they take their preschoolers to Disney. Buster's been good but demands a lot of affection, which I think has stressed out Sadie, 'cause now she's got stomach problems. Was up with both of them most of the night b/c of huge thunder boomers. Walking them both is quite an exercise for a senior -- being pulled and whipsawed, especially by the big dawg (who must weigh almost double Sadie).

On top of all this, I have my first appointment with my new cardiologist tomorrow morning. Actually it's with his PA, which is their SOP. Just hope I can still walk by then. :p

Don't know what effect all this chaos will have on weight -- hopefully a little net reduction.

Jet and I ran around the arena a bunch of times this weekend, and I managed to lose .5 officially on WW as of Monday. Of course, parking was far away, and the nearest patch of grass was a block from the arena, so we did a lot of walking.

I stuck to my WW and low-sodium meals all weekend, too.

Jet and I worked on her start line stay at the trial. She gets so excited in the ring! She had some awesome runs when she bothered to hold her start line until released.

It must be dog-sitting week. We also had a pair of goldens stay the weekend with us. Jet was a little surprised to come home tired from the agility trial to be greeted by a goofy 2 year old on Friday. Fortunately, that golden is a real softy who has no intention of annoying Jet. She told him she was too tired to play and he minded his manners real quickly. The other one is older and mellow. They're both sweethearts. Just hairy.

Now I just have to dig out of the hole at work. Everytime I take a day off, I get "punished" by my in-box!
