Greetings:D ....I hope everyone has had a great week losing and will have a successful upcoming week:) .....We all know the sayings, "It didn't go on overnight, it won't come off overnight", "it's not a diet it's a lifestyle".....I'm sure you can add to the list... My point is that this thing, whatever you want to call it, at times is hard and very frustrating....We not only have to manage our eating, exercise, the ups and downs of the scales and the emotions that go with them, we have to continue to manage life.....We have had injury, illness and loss of life....through it all we have continued to "show up and suit up"...to laugh, love and support each other along the way....the jokes and jabs have kept us smiling...the hugs, kicks in the butt and pats on the backs have kept us moving forward....We seem to have hit on something, something that works.....I applaud you....I thank you....what we cannot do alone we have found we can do together.....

Now get to work...get on those scales...eat and exercise correctly....enjoy life and the ones you love.....Good or bad, I will step on the scales tomorrow and report in:)

Um, well, I beg to differ. A few years ago when I was totally out of control. I'd often wake up and eat a snack at 3AM. Why? I don't know. Now it seems like such a completely stupid thing to do but like I said, no control.

I don?t know?.I have indulged in the middle of the night as well?for whatever reason I think we all have these times?I don?t think it is any different than eating a third bowl of ice cream, having the 5 too many cocktails etc?. regardless of the hour?We humans?um and simians:D are a strange lot?.At some point in time the only habit we don?t have is self control:confused:

One more pound down from last week. I've been fighting minor but annoying water retention issues since my ICD implant and Rx change at Xmas, and I think we've finally got it under control. I knew I was eating right, but when you add medicine B sometimes you have to adjust medicines A and C!
I'm trying to do some type of exercise every day, even if it is as minor as a 20 minute walk the dogs between rain storms.

Great job Laurie!!!....I read that 20 minutes of exercise a day has profound health benefits...Keep it up!!!!:D :D

I previewed myself on the scales last night so therefore I refuse to hop on them again this morning :( ....it may only be a pound or so but its the only pound I have managed to lose and its gone and found me again...I'm never gonna be the biggest loser at this rate but then again I never was gonna be.

I am so very happy for all our "Losers" who have had such great success on our journey together, keep up the great work!

Good job Ton:) ....I have been the same for a while, more or less or more:rolleyes: ....Sometimes it takes a period of not gaining before we start losing....Keep at it....it will happen:D

It is a fact that you weigh more at night than first thing in the morning. So I NEVER weigh myself at night. I'm always disappointed with what I see...

As for me, I got dressed before I remembered to weigh myself. But yesterday I was the same. I would have thought I'd be less, what with all the exercise I've gotten this week (taking care of a 10 month old, walking all over creation for a conference at the convention center...), but I suppose my meals of convenience (read: sodium) have evened things out. Of course, next week, when the baby goes home, I'll be sleeping for a week, so who knows what that will do to my scales!

Damn, up one pound:mad: .....I don't know what the heck is going on:rolleyes: .....I think it because I am Baptist:D .....

The teacher asked the children to bring in something that is associated with their religion......

Sally showed her Rosary and announced she was Catholic....

Harry showed his Menorah and said he was Jewish....

Cooker showed a casserole dish and said he was Baptist and very devout:D ....:p :p :p

Starting weight........233
Last Week...................199
This week....................200
Weekly Change............+1
Total Loss......................-33

Darn, I lost my post, and now I have to repeat this same story twice!

I stayed the same and although I should be satisfied that I didn't gain, turtling is not included in my weight loss plan for at least another few weeks!;)

I was down a pound yesterday, but today's not yesterday! I weigh tomorrow at Weight Watchers, so maybe the scales will treat me better.;)

I wonder if the earthquake we experienced this morning messed up my scales . . . ;) :p :p :p

Since our last weigh-in (Tuesday) Cindy is holding and I am down 1 pound.

The weight we posted last week was what we lost on our WW weigh-in this week.

Anyway, I have to say that WW is being very good to me. I am eating better food, but, more importantly, I am eating tastier and more interesting food than I was before. That isn't to say that "my diet is better than your diet," but this change in my eating program is just what I need. Of course, the change happened mentally, or I wouldn't be losing.

While our mothers were at their respective hospitals having their caths, etc., I walked outside of each hospital and earned 2 activity points. If I hadn't made this change in my life, I would have eaten biscuits and gravy in the cafeteria and would have been too sluggish to walk anywhere later, and would've been a grouch to boot.

As far as "interesting" food, I mean stuff like Sausage & Spinach Roll-ups (from WW Mix it, Match it Cookbook). Before we REALLY started WW, we were being lazy in our food choices and eating the same old unhealthy things all the time. On WW I refuse to say I can't eat any particular thing; If I PLAN for it, I can. That's why I've had ice cream every day since starting WW; that's been my bridge to success. I will start being more creative with my "treats" as well, but be assured I will have them. :D

Sorry for the "preaching" but I'm very excited to be in a "good" place physically and mentally.

Mary we're going to have the Black Bean Casserole soon, we need to pick up some things; maybe we can have it tonight!

Great job, both of you....Sherry and I love WW's...She is sticking with it better than I am but Chimps have a sweet tooth you know:D

I'm even this week. After splurging in the beginning of the week, I kicked in back into gear on Wednesday. As I type, I'm eating high fiber, lowfat, baked ziti. However, when I got to work this morning, I was met by the box of doughnuts, and of course, had to have one. I'm hoping the fiber in the ziti will get the fat and calories in the doughnut out of my system quickly!

Cooker, as a fellow Baptist, I "resemble" your joke. I grew up in a mid-size town with a small town atmosphere, and we had "Dinner on the Grounds" and potlucks at least once a month. They would make 2 or 3 long lines of tables, and I would go from dish to dish and eat until I burst (much like my Beagle!). I thought that chicken spaghetti was Methodist food because when I went with my friend to her church's potlucks, they always had it, and I never had it any other time! Now I live in a big city, and it's just not the same. The last "bring a dish" I went to involved mostly store-bought food.

Good job everyone, and keep on losing!
