I'm down just .4 of a lb from last Friday but it's down and those fractions add up. That gives me -5 for the month of January which was just enough to offset the +5 of December.

Great job Jack!!:) I went back and figured out that I have averaged 5.4lbs loss per month. I am not setting the world on fire but it is dropping. It also is right in step with Bonnie’s one pound per week theme. I think any faster loss might not be a good thing. Four to five pounds a month seem to be workable.

I lied - I weighed again this morning. Down 1 more pound for a total of 4 since starting on my Total Trainer (not to be confused with Superbob's "personal" trainer.;) ) I'll probably weigh again before I leave for France next Wednesday and I'm hoping all the walking I'll be doing will counter act all the food I'll be eating. But I'll be there with my best friend and my daughter (going to visit her) so we won't have any men ordering copious amounts of food. I could survive on Creme Brulee alone.

Everyone seems to be having some success with New Years losses. Keep up the good work.

In case anyone is curious - this is what I got http://www.bayoufitness.com/pilates-home-gym
It cost about what a year at Curves cost me. And Curves works - if you go. This is in my home - sitting in my family room so I have no excuse.

I'm happy to say that I am down a pound, and it looks like everyone has had a good week!
Congratulations all around!

Okay here's may first posting. And I'll post everyday until next Tuesday.
Oh boy....here it goes
Friday Feb 1/08
starting weight - 129

Wish me luck folks:)

SUPERBOB has lost all of 1 pound in the past week. :)

SUPER challenges lie ahead: SUPER SUNDAY with a big spread of munchy yummies. SUPER DUPER TUESDAY with 22 states' worth of political competition, the returns from which are best watched with beer and chips. Not to mention Fat Tuesday, which calls for indulgence in Nawlins food.

And today an icy winter wonderland will mean no long hikes with SUPERDAWG.

Personal trainer Michele has vowed to enforce a strict regimen of training in the basement gym. But there will be SUPER challenges to work off even 1 more pound in the coming week. ;)

Freddie, if you don't mind me asking how tall are you? I like to say I am 4'11"
but I have actually shrink to about 4'10" due to age and osteo. I weigh 127 and would like to lose another 10 to 15 pounds. I also have on my skinny jeans today that make me feel smaller.

There's weight loss in the air! (Maybe it comes with the snow???) I am happy to be among the (many!) two-pound losers.

Either a) I REALLY need to be avoiding sodium. or b) I REALLY need to be exercising. Okay, maybe it's both.

Niki, I think you hit the nail on the head! Good for you for doing both this week!

Karlynn, you're going to FRANCE??? I probably missed that in some other post. I want to come too! (Oh, and...who couldn't live on creme brulee alone???:p ) Have fun!

Freddie - Welcome to the funny farm. Judging from people's reports it isn't the fat farm!

Superbob - listen to your personal trainer.

We're having friends over for the Superbowl. So that will be a super challenge for me.

PJ- my daughter is teaching in Provence this school year. I would be a very bad Mere if I didn't go and visit!;) I'm really looking forward to this once-in-a-lifetime together time with my daughter. (And I got my airline ticket with frequent flyer miles we got when the airline tried to kill us on our European vacation 6 years ago.:) )

Wow, all these 2-pound-plus losers! Congrats to all.

SUPERBOB wishes rewards for all:

Niki -- a huge plate of chips and salsa.

Cooker -- a whole Krispy Kreme delivery truck with goodness hot off the conveyor, plus a vat of banana pudding.

Karlynn -- a huge plate of fudge brownies

P.J. -- all the creme brulee you can eat (and for Karlynn too -- have fun in France!)...

And Sue -- a great dinner tonight of your favorite foods (my superpowers haven't told me yet what your weaknesses are). :p

:D :D :D

SUPERBOB loves you all. :)

Your benevolence boarders on sabotage;) ? I would love a hot KrispKreme ? Only 5 WW points, unfortunately I consume 60 points at a time:eek: and my daily allotment is 30 points ? Hey ? I could go two days without eating:D :D

I just sent my $15 donation to Hank via the Amazon web-site on the front page. I haven't lost 15 pounds, but I'm glad to support the effort everyone has made on the weigh-in/throw down.

Congratulations not only to those who lost 2 pounds:) , but also to those who lost a pound, stayed the same, or just continued to weigh-in no matter what the scales recorded.:)
