Here we go again!!! I expect that SuperBob will take the lead this week!!! I have not been all that diet conscious:eek: Good luck and good dieting:D I will take my lumps like a man, the question is will it be "one lump or two?":D  :D

Yikes! Is it Friday already?

No, SUPERBOB went to an alumni gathering last night at the Shenandoah Club where there was wall-to-wall food including a huge slab of roast beef tenderloin plus cuties coming by every 2 minutes bringing ham biscuits, cheese puffs and the like. He did largely avoid the incredible dessert table except for snitching two small cookies to go with his coffee.

So SUPERBOB's weigh-in tomorrow -- it is tomorrow, right? -- is problematic. The chimp may be safe atop the leaderboard. :(

Now that sounds like absolute heaven!!!!! What a spread!!!!! I fell prey to a double serving of strawberry shortcake and a Hershey Bar.....there may be more that I can not recall:D :D :D

We had rain for 3 days..so not much walking.:( However, weighed this morning) and it is still on (weight) 171 lbs..( 7 lbs loss) This is our 8th week?..so I think I did well..(housebounded) all week....:p ..Leaving again for camping on the lake..tomorrow. So, I know I will get exercise again..with Grands..Just climbing in/out of our motorhome is a workout. Our rain is gone. suppose to be a beautiful cool weekend.:) ....Hoping to break into the 170 range next week.:D ..then..169..168..167..166..165..on/on:D .Will be happy with another 7 lb loss by xmas..Bonnie

I seem to have lost almost 500grams/1lb, which is what I put on in the last week or so...I have been exercising more this week so maybe I lost some fat and got some muscles :D ... Its a bit tricky, I really should write down my weight  ...but I am in denial you know!;) .

Good health to all our losers....I am looking forward to reading how you all went this week.

I seem to be in a holding pattern. I'm actually surprised it wasn't a gain this week, as I've been eating out almost every night and haven't gone to the gym or pool. However, when I looked in the mirror this morning, I was pretty happy with what I was seeing (well, straight on, anyway. Profile still needs some work ;) ).

Starting weight: 142
Last week: 133
Today: 133
This week loss: 0
Total change: -9

Well I did better than expected! I guess stress aided in a loss of one pound. I am getting on the "Bonnie" plan and shoot for one pound a week. After today life should get back to normal (David's Memorial Service).

We are doing great!!!! Even with the ups and downs we are all staying the course!! Thanks for your support. A special thanks to SuperBob for being the burr under my saddle:D

Starting weight........233
Last Week...................215
This week....................214
Weekly Change............-1
Total Loss......................19

Starting weight: 272

Today's weight: 257

Change: -15

Change in past week: 0

Notes: The chimp rules! Superbob has been humbled. In the middle of last night, he was up eating crunky peanut butter straight out of a jar. Kryptonite for the Man of Steel. :(

Today Superbob is headed to Nova/DC area for 4th birthday of granddaughter whose main birthday request is that Superbob -- aka Pop-Pop -- cook pancakes for her and 7 or 8 of her kiddie friends tomorrow morning. No doubt Superbob will eat many of his own pancakes, and not just for chef-testing purposes. And with lots of butter and syrup. :D :D :D

Congratulations to Cooker and all the other dieters extraordinaire! :) :) :)

Well. I am going to grit my teeth and post..170...lbs..so close..just a few ounces..:p .Now..total loss 8 lbs..:) .maybe that will keep me from eating too much this weekend with Grands..(2 different Halloween school carnivals tomorrow).. All those goodies..Bonnie

SuperBob......congratulations are in order!!! With the food you have been exposed to this week and the fact that you posted no gain is sure evidence of your super powers!!

Have a great time with the party and the pancakes......eat a short stack for me!!!!

Down one pound this week...still plugging along!

Starting weight: 179
Last week: 163
Today: 162
Total Loss: -17

Happy losing to all!

Okay, so I may have figured out how to eat less when bombarded with party food that is delicious... Talk a lot! ;) Last night we had a few friends over for my birthday and I spent so much time talking and catching up with these friends that I hadn't seen in months that I didn't even notice that I wasn't stuffing my face the whole night! And when we sat down to dinner I didn't even go back for seconds, which is unusual for me. I ate only a very small slice of the buttermilk pie Nathan made for me (it's my great aunt's recipe) and at the end of the night I felt really good about myself. So next time you're wanting to stick something in your mouth, start talking to someone... Can't really chew and talk at the same time very easily! ;)

I need a judges ruling

I need a judges ruling

This a.m.

On new dig scale 162.5
1 minute later on old scale adjusted 5 lbs high - 155

took 30 lbs of bar bell weights - put on old scale and it weighed, 35 - so adjusted old scales down to 2lbs above 0 (for fudge factor)

put same weights on new dig scale - 31.5

weighed on old scale again - 152
weighed on new dig scale - 158.5 (4 pounds difference w/in 5 minutes of the 162.5 and no way for me to adjust anything)

So - if I'm to believe the dead weights I used are accurate, I weigh 157 on the new scale OR 161??????? Take your pick. At 161 my jeans I wore yesterday should be very tight, they weren't.

So YOU ALL be the judge.

Either way - I'm not losing weight, even with a changed diet - so I still believe that Provachol is a culprit. (See my freak-out thread from yesterday).

Having Trader Joe's multi-grain hot cereal this a.m. with a small splash of cream and some Splenda brown sugar.

Now it is true that I am easily confused:eek: ??.so you just blew my row boat out of the water:D ??..I would suggest stick with one set of scales and look for a downward trend .

I had a tough Sunday??..went to the ?Italian Pie? for lunch and ordered the Greek chicken wrap?..it was huge and I ate the whole thing:eek: ?.last night we had our monthly evening covered dish meal at church;) ?..no explanation necessary.

Well I do think my old scales weigh light, but my new scales are crazy - 4 lbs difference in 5 minutes??

I do think I'll just leave them both down in the basement. Now that I'm freaking out a bit about my weight, I have a tendency to step on them when I see them. I'm not going to weigh for another week now. PROMISE!!!!!!!

So Mr. Cooker - are you weighing on Monday's or Friday's now??? I've decided I need to go back to weighing on Monday's - it makes me behave better on weekends.

I weighed in this past Friday but I am torn.........If I weigh in on Friday I can blow the weekend and have four days to recover.....If I weigh in on Mondys I might blow the week and try and recover on the weekend.......

Karlynn,
If you bought new digital scales, all I can say is mine will weigh two pounds different over a five minute time period, so you're not alone.
I wish I had kept my old ones.
I think Cooker's right . . . look for a downward trend, and go with that.

We bought digital scales and they weigh us heavy also....they also can vary too much as well. Our old scale is what we use now; it is more reliable.
